ARUW HuskyBot Announcement

Yes, we intentionally choose a license that requires keeping it open source.

One of the main points for creating this was the lack of beginner-friendly resources. If a team uses this and makes improvements or adds some functionality, I believe that other teams who are just starting out should be able to see those changes and gain inspiration on how to move forward.

Beyond the legal constraint, I believe there’s a moral obligation—if you’re benefiting from something designed to help others, you should try to give back. If a team values secrecy and privatization, it’s reasonable to expect them to develop something of their own, perhaps even better suited to their needs and hardware. People are free to draw from the principles and design that they learn from HuskyBot—what am I gonna do, sue them for using solvePnP?
